Our installation
PEPLor’s Bridoux site is composed of four phytotrons used for the cultivation of perennial or annual plants and an agitator/incubator for the cultivation of microalgae.
“Tropical" phytotrons
The four phytotrons of the Bridoux site have a surface area of about 3 m² each. They are used routinely for both terrestrial and aquatic plant cultivation.
Each phytotron has several growing areas allowing a multiplications the cultivated model plants. Each one can be equipped with a particular light source in order to satisfy a large demand.
Agitator/ Incubator
The Bridoux site is also equipped with a large capacity incubator/agitator (surface area of 1.5 m²). It allows the cultivation of photosynthetic organisms such as micro algae under controlled climatic conditions. The apparatus is equipped with a DEL lighting system that can be adjusted in intensity and allows the implementation of customized day/night lighting cycles.

Ecotoxicological tests
The expertise of the staff at the Bridoux site focuses on the study of ecosystems and their disturbance by anthropic factors. As such, the LIEC laboratory offers services in various disciplinary fields including the field of ecotoxicology through the realization of standardized ecototoxicological tests on plant, animal models or aquatic and terrestrial microorganisms. This activity is piloted by its transfer and innovation pole ImpactE.

associated laboratorie
The LIEC is a joint research unit whose primary objective is to understand the functioning of continental ecosystems that have been severely disrupted by human activity, with the aim of rehabilitating them. To this end, we carry out interdisciplinary research combining the concepts and methods of environmental mineralogy, soil science, microbial ecology, colloidal physico-chemistry, ecotoxicology and functional ecology.
